PARKING
Parking is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Rideshare is strongly recommended with a designated on 1882 Campus Road (near FEAST Garden).
Accessible Parking (ADA):
- If you have a valid Disabled Person (DP) placard or DP license plate, ensure it is properly displayed.
- ADA Parking is available in the Admissions Parking Lot on .
- Inauguration Parking Map & Shuttle Stop Locations (coming soon!)
Permit Required Parking:
- The Permit Required Parking section is not available for General Parking and requires a permit. Each permit will be issued and valid for one license plate per vehicle on the printed date(s).
- Parking permits are non-transferable.
Shuttles:
- Available Friday, April 25, from 1:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
- View the Inauguration Parking Map (coming soon!) to find the shuttle stop locations.
LOT CLOSURES
- Upper Stearns & Keck Theater Parking Lots: Closed from Wednesday, April 23 from 7 a.m. through Saturday afternoon for event installation, event, and strike.
- Bell Field Parking Lot: Closed on Thursday, April 24 at 7 p.m. through Friday, April 25 at 8 p.m. for inaugural platform party parking.
- Collins House/Admission (top level): Partial closure Thursday 7 p.m. - Friday, 10:30 p.m.
ROAD CLOSURES
- AGC Road (between Campus Road and Gilman Road) will be closed from Thursday, April 24 at 5 p.m. through Friday, April 25 at 11 p.m.
- Limited entry/exit restrictions for Gilman Road (between Bird and AGC Rd.) on Friday, April 25 from 1:30 p.m. – 6 p.m.

- Installation Ceremony: Wheelchair seating is available with one companion seat on a first-come, first-served basis. Contact the Inauguration Office at (323) 259-2691 or inauguration@oxy.edu for questions.
- Wheelchair Availability: 511±¬ÁÏ does not provide wheelchairs. For accessibility questions, contact inauguration@oxy.edu.
- Shuttle Service: Shuttles will be available from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. See Inauguration Parking Map & Shuttle Stop Locations (coming soon!)
- Community Welcome Seating: No seating will be available. Guests are encouraged to pick up food and beverages and proceed directly to their seats in Hillside Theater for the procession and investiture.
- For the Visually Impaired:
- The Installation Ceremony will be broadcast live with full sound on our via livestream on April 25 at 3 p.m. PST. (link coming soon!)
- For the Hearing Impaired:
- Sign Language interpreters will be available on-site during the Installation Ceremony and will also be featured in the livestream broadcast on April 25 at 3 p.m. PST.
Please allow ample time to make your way to the Remsen Bird Hillside Theater and check-in before entering the theater for the Installation Ceremony before the procession begins at 3 p.m. Doors to the theater open at 2 p.m.
- Outdoor Venues: The Hillside Theater and other event locations are outdoors. Weather in April can be warm and sunny or overcast and damp.
- What to Bring: Consider bringing water, sunglasses, sunscreen, or a jacket.
- Campus Terrain: 511±¬ÁÏ’s campus is hilly, with some uneven pathways. Comfortable shoes are strongly recommended.
- Attire: Casual and weather-appropriate for daytime events.
- Seating Type: The Remsen Bird Hillside Theater seats are concrete and lack back support. Bringing a cushion or blanket is recommended.
- Sun Exposure: Some seating will be shaded by shade sails, but other areas will be in direct sunlight.
Airports
- Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR): The closest airport, less than 30 minutes from campus.
- Los Angeles International Airport (LAX): An alternative option.
